December 21

After the way below freezing level on the 22nd, plants were wilted beyond belief. These photos were taken the day before, so they are being shared with you. When leaves are seen again, pictures will follow.

To Begin.

The tree from the window shows the right side of the yard. The cardinal is perched in its branches. At first he looked right at me, by the time I  clicked the photo, he had turned his back! What a shy bird!!

The vines are below the tree and looking past them toward the back, the Japanese Maple was a glorious red. At its base, a newly planted dianthus was still blooming. The spike plant is on the right side of the house. The two potted plants are out front on the railroad ties.

That's all for now!  One lovely thing about Georgia - although it is winter and January 8 - in 6 weeks or sooner warmer days will pop out some buds.

See you then!
