Set One

Blessed

It seems more prevalent today that people are telling each other as they part company, "Be Blessed!" or "Have a blessed day!"  From the grocery store to a stranger who is opening the door for me, the words are spoken. I say them right back.

In essence, 'blessed' means to be happy, have a happy day. Stretching further, it may be that the bottom line is, "May God bless you with a happy day."

Rather like "Yoyos con Dios - Go with God."

Honesty

As a child, walking behind my dad, I started to find coins on the sidewalk. Scooping them up I thought, "Wow, Money for me!"  Catching up to my parent, I showed him my treasures. He said thank you as he turned his pocket inside out and showed me its hole. "I forgot o put my change from our lunch in my other pocket. Thank you for finding my money. "

As I handed it over, I thought, "This as not what I expected." Never forgotten, I always gave back what I borrowed - even if a nickel for the pop machine. Honesty is solid skill taught to children early on.

Kind

People who love animals, in turn, have pets to love them. A pet  depends on  kindness - like food and a lap to curl up in, unless its fish or a parrot. Plant lovers care for their plants just as assiduously. now kindness is water and kind words. Plant and ananimals respond well to kind words. Resarch proves it.

People respond well to kind words.

My grown son notes that I often make a request more as an order. He does not move to help unless  he hears please and thank you in the same request. "Would you please... and thank you very much for your help." Kindness rbings a smile and the help needed.
